Munawar is a Stand-up comic and is the winner of Kangna Ranaut’s reality TV show Lock Upp season 1, the winner of Comic Kaun season. He was born in Dongri Mumbai.
On January 1, 2021, Munawar Faruqui got into trouble with the police in Madhya Pradesh. This happened because Aklavya Laxman Singh Gaur, who is the son of a politician from the BJP party named Malini Gaur, complained that Faruqui had said things that offended Hindus. Faruqui was performing a comedy show as part of his tour called ‘Dongri to Nowhere’ when the police and some people interrupted the show in Indore. They claimed that Faruqui had made disrespectful comments which has hurt religious sentiments.
